Everything is fair in love and war?

I heard these words many times, but I don’t agree with them at all.

Mean what? That we can lie, cheat, hurt innocent people, just to get, what we want? That love justifies all? No way!

I love this psalm about true love from Book of Psalms from Holy Bible:

“”Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails… And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

It’s essence of true love. Where is although one word, that  “all is fair in love”?

  1. I like your version better, now if we’d all catch on and be this way it would be great. I figured out one day that if everyone changed TODAY and all started shifting it would probably take about 200 years for it to stick.

    • THe time frame is for the change from the past, the present and then through to the future. LOL 🙂

    • thanks for appreciating version chosen by me 🙂
200 years… hm, probably you are right. But if even world becomes better although a bit, thing is worth trying.

      • This about time is your own thought? I like it 🙂

        • LOL No I thought that figure up about 5 years ago so we still have 195 years left to go 🙂 … yah, I was fantasizing one day about all the mean things and messed up ways of the world starting to change. So you would have to go generation to generation and undo bad things, so I thought .. .how long would that take? 200 years. 🙂

  2. Sometimes I think, that it’s not much necessary to change the world for better place. Just a bit of good will of all of us. It’s not really so much.

  3. Ya, exactly…
I have to wake up early morning. Good night Sue 🙂

  4. In a true love there is a never-ending stream of exquisiteness, it illuminates and sweetens the mind, while the heart soars singing with a pleasurable melody of love in its real meaning, and the giving of true love is unquestionably infinite as each kiss is etched upon a romantic elevation of gentleness…

The wanting of everlasting adoration is received and given in the same instance, a true love never wavers and it is enriched by pure emotion fuelled by loving passion, and feelings that embrace the true enchantment of love…

    Thank you for sharing, Sabina

    Hugs,

  6. You found real love in its true essence. They say a real test of love is when you love others more than you love yourself. Being selfless. This is in contrary to what the world is teaching us of love yourself first which sometimes means,” its all about me, others second.” people has overused the word love and in the process forgot what it really means. Great post.

    • Thank you 🙂
You are absolutely right about real love, that it’s when we love others more then ourselves.
Love lost its real value novadays. But there are still people on the Earth, who understand, what true love should be.
