Tears in heaven

I like a lot this song. I heard it yesterday. Eric Clapton isn’t the best vocalist on the Earth,  but this song is beautiful, just heart – touching. He wrote it after his little son’s death… but for me it isn’t sad song. Just song about great love.

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
‘Cause I know I don’t belong here in heaven

Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?
I’ll find my way through night and day
‘Cause I know I just can’t stay here in heaven

Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart, have you begging please, begging please

Beyond the door there’s peace I’m sure
And I know there’ll be no more tears in heaven

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
Cause I know I don’t belong here in heaven

  1. I love that song by Eric Clapton…I didn’t know he wrote it for that sad circumstances though.
Thank you for sharing this, Sabina!

  2. If songs like this were played in churches and mosques and synagogues around the world today , the world would be a better place

  3. I watched him perform this song on MTV’s “Unplugged” show and the music and the lyrics just blew me away…
