Old but gold – ‘Sowing the seeds of love’

Tears for fears – interesting name for the band, don’t you think so?

Lyrics

High time we made a stand & shook up the views of the common man
And the love train rides from coast to coast
DJ’s the man we love the most
Could you be, could you be squeaky clean
And smash any hope of democracy
As the headline says you’re free to choose
There’s egg on your face and mud on your shoes
One of these days they’re gonna call in the ruse, yeah

(Sowing the seeds of love) anything is possible
(Seeds of love) when you’re sowing the seeds of love
(Sowing the seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds of love) anything is possible
(Seeds of love) sowing the seeds of love (Sowing the seeds)

I spy tears in their eyes
They look to the skies for some kind of divine intervention
Food goes to waste, so nice to eat, so nice to taste
Politician Granny with your high ideals
Have you no idea how the majority feels
So without love and a promised land
We’re fools to the rules of a government plan
Kick out the style, bring back the jam

(Sowing the seeds of love) anything (seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds of love) (Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love)
Sowing the seeds, the birds and the bees, my girlfriend and me in love

Feel the pain, talk about it, if you’re a worried man then shout about it
Open hearts, feel about it, open minds, think about it
Everyone read about it, everyone scream about it
Everyone (everyone, yeah yeah)
Everyone (everyone) read about it, read about it
Read it in the books in the crannies
And the nooks there are books to read…Chorus!!!

(Sowing the seeds of love) Oh, the seeds of love
We’re sowing the seeds, sowing the seeds

We’re sowing the seeds of love. we’re sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, we’re sowing the seeds of love
(Mr. England sowing the seeds of love)

(Time to eat all your words, swallow your pride, open your eyes)
Time to eat all your words, swallow your pride, open your eyes
High time we made a stand (time to eat all your words)
And shook up the views of the common man (swallow your pride)
And the love train rides from coast to coast (open your eyes)
Every minute of every hour “I Love a Sunflower” (open your eyes)
And I believe in love power (open your eyes)
Love power, love (open your eyes) power

(Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love…Sowing the seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love)
We’re sowing the seeds (sowing the seeds of love)
Sowing the seeds of love, we’re sowing the seeds (seeds of love)
Sowing the seeds, an end to need, and the politics of greed with love
(Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds of love) anything (seeds of love) anything
(Sowing the seeds of love, Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds, an end to need, and the politics of greed with love)
(Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds of love)
(Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love)

Love makes the woman beautiful

Only love can win with hate – dedicated for 69 victims of shooting on an island in Norway

I feel in duty to write something, but my mind is blank. I found M.L. King’s wise words. I hope, you’ll like it.
It’s amazing, that there is no hate in Norway, no desire of blood. After tragedy on Utoya Island, Norwegians are just keeping stronger together.

I’m everything I am, becouse you loved me.

“For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I’ll be forever thankful baby
You’re the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You’re the one who saw me through through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn’t speak
You were my eyes when I couldn’t see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn’t reach
You gave me faith ‘coz you believed
I’m everything I am
Because you loved me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I’m grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don’t know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn’t speak
You were my eyes when I couldn’t see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn’t reach
You gave me faith ‘coz you believed
I’m everything I am
Because you loved me

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You’ve been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn’t speak
You were my eyes when I couldn’t see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn’t reach
You gave me faith ‘coz you believed
I’m everything I am
Because you loved me

I’m everything I am
Because you loved me”

I received this poem, song performed by Celine Dion,  from some romantic friend of mine.

Power of love – Sting “Until”

As I promised, this time I’ll tell you about “Kate and Leopold”. I saw this movie a couple of times. It’s so optimistic story about love, which can win with everything. Even with living in different centuries.

Leopold is an English poor aristocrat living in New York in the end of the 19th century. His uncle is forcing him to marry with a rich woman to recover his family from ruin. Kate is a successful businesswoman living also in New York, but in the beginning of 21st century. By coincidence, thanks hole in time, they meet each other, and they fall in love.

It’s very romantic story. About differences, obstacles, choices in life. What is worth more nowadays? Personal carrier or true love? Comfortable, but empty life or dropping into unknown for love? What will win?

We are facing many difficult choices in life. Sometimes it’s really difficult to make proper decision. Sometimes whatever we choose, we wont be full happy. because whatever we choose, we will lose something. The difference lies only in how much was worth for us what we lost, and how valuable for us is what we chose.

Here is a wonderful song from that movie.

Untill – lyrics

If I caught the world in a bottle
And everything was still beneath the moon
Without your love would it shine for me?
If I was smart as Aristotle
And understood the rings around the moon
What would it all matter if you loved me?

Here in your arms where the world is impossibly still
With a million dreams to fulfill
And a matter of moments until the dancing ends
Here in your arms when everything seems to be clear
Not a solitary thing would I fear
Except when this moment comes near the dancing’s end

If I caught the world in an hourglass
Saddled up the moon so we could ride
Until the stars grew dim, Until…

One day you’ll meet a stranger
And all the noise is silenced in the room
You’ll feel that you’re close to some mystery
In the moonlight and everything shatters
You feel as if you’ve known her all your life
The worlds oldest lesson in history

Here in your arms where the world is impossibly still
With a million dreams to fulfill
And a matter of moments until the dancing ends
Here in your arms when everything seems to be clear
Not a solitary thing do I fear
Except when this moment comes near the dancings end

Oh, if I caught the world in an hourglass
Saddled up the moon and we would ride
Until the stars grew dim
Until the time that time stands still, Until…

Power of love

Did you ever see “Quo vadis?”, love story from ancient Rome? No? It’s really worth seeing. Book, on which was based that movie, got Nobel Reward in 1905 year.

Marco Vinicius was Roman soldier, Ligia was Christian, taken from her parents house in country being in war with Rome. It was at time, when Nero was a Cesar. He hated Christians. From boredom, and because of looking for inspiration for writing a poem,  he ordered to make a fire in Rome city, and then he accused Christians for doing that. Finally he ordered to put Christians to the circus on the arena with lions.

In the circus Ligia was tied to the back of big bull. Her servant Ursus killed a bull, and saved Ligia. But many people died there killed by lions. Even kids. Romans had a fun, but only till moment, when people attacked by lions started praying. They were not running, just staying there and praying.

Marco loved Ligia, and it was mutual. That love was even more forbidden than Romeo’s and Julia’s love. But true love can win with all obstacles. It happened many times. And not only in literature and movies, but also in life. The greatest example from real life is English prince, who resignated from being a king because of love to some American woman.

I’ll repeat, what I said in “What is love”: “There is no proper age for loving someone, there is no proper time or circumstances. So stop thinking, and analysing, what’s proper or what’s not. Only then you will be able for real love. So what, that it can hurt? Real feeling is worth real pain.”

Nothing can stop people, who truly love each other. Even living in different centuries. Did you see “Kate and Leopold? I’ll tell you about it next time 🙂
